Ability to provide availability beyond 4 weeks
Hi, a couple of suggestion.

Would be good if the members could indicate availability for more than 4 weeks ahead, as it gives the club admin more advanced notice of potential problem weeks for selection, e.g. exam weeks or school holidays.

If you control the notifications you get from the site at a more detailed level, so for example not to get emails relating to not filling in availability, but still get emails regarding selection for a fixture and confirming attendance.

Would be good to stop setting availability reminders when you have already set your availability for a particular week. This seems to be an automated reminder sent by the site every week regardless of if someone has already stated their availability.

The idea with the availability reminders is that they serve 2 purposes, acting as both reminder and confirmation, so if you haven't set your status you can take a look at the fixtures and follow the link through to the site, or you can simply confirm its correct and delete the email.
While we could make the reminder optional, either on a club or user basis, the benefits seemed to be outweighed by the disadvantages. Inevitably some people would forget to set their status if they could turn off the reminders, or correct it if their circumstances change through the week, and Clubhouse would likely to less useful as a whole. The consequence of this line of thinking is everyone has to receive a reminder email but it takes 2 seconds to check and delete if your availability is correct. We consider it a small price to pay.

I have just emailed clubhouse on the exact same points as Ernie noted above (28 July comments). Hopefully clubhouse can address this going forward.

In the next version of Clubhouse 1.4 you will be able to set availability for any fixture entered. As mentioned in my previous email we do have plans to be able to customise notifications but this is unlikely to be in 1.4.
1.4 is being refined now, and likely to be ready for release some time in the next month.
