Suggestions
Hi,
Just stumbled upon your site through a group on Linkedin, and it looks like a great application. I am currently trialling this with my volleyball teams called QF Rockets.
I've seen in the support forums that the feature to remove a team will be coming soon, it would also be useful to be able to remove a venue also and also have a calendar feature for the fixture date.
I saw that you can remove teams if we email you, I have one called Test, that if possible I would like removed.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Ernie

Hi Ernest,
Firstly, welcome to Clubhouse and I hope that you and your team find it useful.
We are currently working on some updates that we are hoping to have released in the next few weeks. We are looking in to allowing admins to remove venues and to adding a calander feature to the fixture date - both of these have been suggested to use recently. However, it is unlikely that these suggestions will be in the current update.
We do listen to all our feedback and suggestions and add many to our list of 'things to do' - the more users we are getting, the bigger that list is getting, so it is just a process of working through the list in the most productive way.
As requested I have deleted the 'test' team that you had. If there are any other questions, or if u have any more suggestions then please don't hesitate to contact me by emailing support@clubhouseapp.com or calling me directly on +44 161 660 2697.
Many thanks
Max

Thanks for the reply.
Another useful function would be to split the club members into different teams so that the fixture can be made applicable to only certain club members. We have two teams in different competitions and currently all fixtures are showing up for all members.

Hi Ernie,
We have thought previously about having the functionality of splitting
club members in to teams, but this proved to be less useful for the
majority of the clubs that use Clubhouse. In sports such as football,
cricket and rugby we have found that one club member can be part of more
than one team and, therefore, requested to play more than one fixture.
The way how clubhouse works is that a player will state their
availability for a given day, not a specific fixture - which is why more
than one fixture often shows up to that player.
When selecting a team to play a feature, the captain (or admin in
charge) can 'tag' a player. For example they can tag those in the first
team with '1st' and those in the second team with '2nd'. By selecting
whichever tag is appropriate to their team they would then be able to
filter out those who are not part of it.
We have worked some more on this feature which is in the next update due
out in the very near future.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes
Max

Thanks, have been using the tag functionality to split the teams, and works well.
Is it possible to add a player to a fixture once it has been published? as I forgot to add someone and now they can't confirm attendance.
Are the times selected based on UK? as I need the times to be based on local time e.g. Sydney.
Thanks
Support Staff 6 Posted by Patrick McEvoy on 16 Jun, 2009 02:42 AM
Hi Ernie
Glad you're making use of the tagging. We know it's a bit rough around the edges atm. There will be a big update to the website either later this week or early next week to smooth it out among other things.
Unfortunately changing a team isn't possible now and won't be in the update mentioned above. However the good news is we're planning to have it completed over the next 3-4 weeks. In the mean time, other clubs tend to post a message for changes or players not yet on Clubhouse.
In truth we hadn't expected to tackle the timezone issue for a while! However within the last week we've broken out of the UK and had sign ups from a few different countries (and timezones!). At the moment all times are UK based. I realise it's far from ideal and you will have a club timezone option within 1-2 weeks.

Looking forward to the update.
One of our users has created two profiles, and their isn't a delete function that I can see for the admin?
Would you be able to remove the profile for Brian Pinto with the email address Brian_Pinto@sta.nsw.gov.au.
Can users unconfirm for a fixture once they are clicked on confirm?
Support Staff 8 Posted by Max Freedman on 17 Jun, 2009 07:05 PM
Hi Ernie,
As requested, I have deleted the profile for Brian Pinto with the email address Brian_Pinto@sta.nsw.gov.au
You may be aware that we are extremely close to launching our next update, mainly based on suggestions from our users. One of the suggestions that we have not had time to implement is the ability for admins to delete club members, but we will have this feautre coming as soon as we can!
Users cannot unconfirm for a fixture on they have clicked on confirm, we suggest that if there has been a mistake that they drop a note in the fixture message board, or look in the directory for their captains email. This way, everybody involved in that fixture will be informed and a replacement could be found as quickly as possible. One of the features we are introducing is an 'extras' box on the selection page to allow captains to pick extra players/substitues etc, which would help over come the problem you have mentioned.
Hoping this helps
Regards
Max

Hi, I've just started using clubhouse and have added a couple of sides. When I'm in the add fixtures section I'm having a couple of issues. Firstly, when I try to narrow down the fixtures by clicking on the team names, it works for the 1st XI, only displaying their fixtures. However when I click on 2nd and Midweek XI it doesn't display any of their fixtures.
Also when I enter a lock date and time the time I enter gets replaced with the time of the fixture. eg. I enter a fixture for 11-07-09 13:00 and a lock date of 08-07-09 23:59 the clock date and time becomes 08-07-09 13:00.
Thanks
Alan

HI Alan,
Firstly, welcome to Clubhouse!
Thank you for informing us about the problems that you have been
experiencing with Clubhouse, which have now been sorted.
At present certain symbols/characters can not be used in team names or
the tagging feature, this is why your were encountering problems when on
the fixture page. I have replaced the ' & ' sign used in the 2nd &
Midweek XI to 'and', so you can now filter the list down.
You will notice the lock date (or required by dates) have reverted back
to what you had originally entered. If for any reason you find a lock
date time is incorrect, you can change this by going to the edit fixture
command.
Please feel free to contact me if you have problems or suggestions about
Clubhouse by either emailing me on support@clubhouseapp.com or
telephoning me directly on 0161-660-2697.
I hope Clubhouse proves to be as useful for your club as it has for many
others.
Many thanks
Max

Hi,
Like the improvements with the latest release.
With the map functionality I noticed that it doesn't save the updated map, so can't save the map for the team when they want to view the details of the fixture. Thanks

Glad you like the improvements - we are always aiming to make Clubhouse
easier to use!
We are aware of the problems with the map function and our developers are
looking at getting it fixed as soon as possible.
Thanks for letting us know.

Is there any way to do a bulk import for the fixtures ie CSV, excel or even just to allow entry of multiple fixtures at once.
We general have the fixture list available that could be formatted easily to permit some kind of bulk import.
Otherwise, its a long night for someone.
Cheers
Alistair
Support Staff 14 Posted by Dan Quirk on 30 Sep, 2009 03:22 PM
Alistair,
We are working on a feature to allow bulk automatic import, could you send me your fixture list? We have a fair few already but the more the better to ensure it works in every possible case. In the meantime I suggest you just enter a few weeks of fixtures manually till this feature is finished.
Cheers,
Dan

Dan,
Thanks for the reply, attached is a CSV of fixtures. I don't have a fixed
format as such, its lifted from a PDF and just messed about with in excel,
so it would be straightforward to match up with a preferred 'clubhouse'
format.
Cheers,

Just some extra feedback (which I am sure you already have in the pipeline!)
*FIXTURE ENTRY*
1. It is a ball-acne putting then in, but also the human error part of
introducing errors is a nightmare, probably the single most point to lose
crediabilty ie wrong time place etc and people going off the idea.
Must get the errors reduced.
2. Allow option some defaults to be entered eg Match time is always the same
for us, maybe also required by as an offset again as a default say -1d or
-12h
3. Import and maybe export as well.
Or Import with overwrite or delete all fixtures, really.
After getting frustrated entering the fixtures our league issues 2 further
fixture programs due to very late teams withdrawing or clubs folding
Otherwise looking to push out your system and give it a go this year.
